When Skip Met Terri
Theresa and Artie met one fateful semester at the Acting Conservatory at SUNY Purchase.
Artie was just a wee lad with a love for all things Janet Jackson and Theresa was a girl with frizzy, over-processed hair cut like a village idiot.
Both native West Coasters, they bonded over their disdain for the cold and their love of dessert for dinner.
One might say they were fast friends. Then Artie found out Theresa could sing. Theresa found out Artie played the piano.... and things would never be the same again.
During that first semester, they blew off scene studies to break into rehearsal rooms with unlocked pianos and went through catalogues of 80's inspirato tunes. They wouldn't dare "dream it's over" (#CrowdedHouse), until Artie grew weary of peeling non-existent oranges (#Meisner) and animal work (he thinks he was a bear?) and took a one way ticket back to Orange County.
Theresa was heartbroken, but they promised to keep in touch, and that they did!
Numerous Skip and Terri YouTube videos, two cross-country road trips, too many Pizookies together to count, a handful of meals at Chipotle, and 15 years later, they found themselves both in Los Angeles - still the best of buds - and full of songs and ideas!
Lots and lots of ideas.
Then one day, they woke up and realized that while they were busy thinking up great ideas, so much time had passed. Maybe it's because they were having the time of their lives looking better than they did in college? Perhaps it was the Pizookie-induced sugar comas? Who can say?!
Nevertheless, they got to work on one of their most prized creative endeavors: SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE - The Web Series.
Artie and Theresa like to think they made a Five-Year-Plan for their project like successful people do, but the truth is, that's how long they procrastinated. So, five years in the making (well, really four years talking about it and one productive year putting the pedal to the creative metal), the time has come to share that idea with the world!
